What the price covers
The £1,499 headline is a fixed, all-inclusive price. There are no add-ons during the booking process and no “you'll have to pay extra for that” surprises after the fact. The only possible additional cost is a £250 Priority Care collection fee — and that is only when collection is required from a home, hospice or care home (rather than from a hospital or coroner's mortuary). We tell you about Priority Care upfront on the first call, not afterwards. Maximum total: £1,749.

What is not included
A formal service at the crematorium, the use of a hearse or limousines, flowers, a celebrant or minister, embalming, viewing of the deceased, or alternative ashes urns. If you decide before the cremation takes place that you would like to add any of these, the local funeral director can usually accommodate it for an appropriate additional fee — mention it when you call.
